As you stumble your way through the facility, you come across a woman being harassed by FENRIR agents.
”Leave me alone!” she shouts.
You recognise the voice. It’s Melissa. You leap into action and attack the agents. Despite your fatigue, you manage to overpower them all and send them packing.

You pull Melissa up and offer her your shoulder.
”What are you doing here?”
“I was looking for you.” she says while looking into your eyes. “You can’t keep doing this.”
“What do you mean?”
She places a hand on your cheek.
“You’ve died so many times. I can see the spark fading from your eyes.”
“Wait. How do you know about that?”
It suddenly dawns on you. That voice you hear every time you come back - it’s hers. Melissa can tell you’ve worked it out and nods.

Suddenly, screams and gunfire pierce the air, snapping the two of you back to reality.
“Right, Melissa. I’m gonna get you out of here!” you exclaim, while sweeping her up into your arms.

You run out of the facility as far as your legs can carry you, expertly dodging gunfire and outstretched arms along the way. When you arrive at the entrance, you place Melissa down and tell her to go.
“Not without you.” she says, holding your hands.
“I can’t leave yet. I still have something to do.”
Melissa sighs at you.
“Fine. But promise me you’ll survive. And promise me you’ll call me when all of this is over!”
You nod and prepare to turn back. Before you can go, she grabs you by the collar and kisses you.
“Don’t make me bring you back again.”

With a spring in your step and a grim sense of determination, you re-enter the sub-basement levels. This time you’ll survive and find Rosie.
