You dart through multiple corridors, trying to avoid the ESPers, scientists and armed men in suits. Your path is blocked by a large, imposing figure. He looks like he could crush your head with his bare hands.
“Who are you, little man?”
“Uh, I’m Greg. Mind letting me past, big fella?” you say, hoping he’s friendlier than he looks.
However, he shakes his head.
“I challenge you to a battle…”, the man says, cracking his knuckles and grinning maniacally. “…of wits.”
His challenge leaves you confused.
“I see I already have the upper hand. Come, sit with me.”
He escorts you to his cell.

His cell looks like a library. Books adorn every shelf, and there are tables full of puzzles and board games. He offers you a seat.
“What’s to stop me running away?” you say, eyeing the exit.
“If you try it, I’ll kill you. Now sit.”
You gulp and take a seat. The large man places a variety of games and puzzles onto the table.
“Where are my manners?” the man says. “I am Rzeznik.”
He shakes your hand with a vice-like grip and begins to explain the rules. He tells you that if you manage to beat him in a gauntlet of five different games, he’ll let you proceed. The games are Chess, Risk, Battleships, Cluedo and Ergo.

Your experience with having to play board games with your family when you were a child gives you the upper hand, allowing you to utterly trump Rzeznik at every game.
“H-How?!” he shouts. “No one’s ever beaten me before!”
He throws the table into the wall and breaks the games in his hands. Just as his hands reach for you, he sighs deeply.
“You win, fair and square. You can go now.”

You thank him for the games and head out of the cell.
“Hopefully all the rogue ESPers are that easy to deal with.” you say to yourself.
